After two years of interruption, transition and reevaluation within all art communities and throughout the global experience as a whole, we are thrilled to announce that Carrie Secrist Gallery has discovered and committed to its new home in Chicago’s West Town Neighborhood, joining the city’s most recent pre-immanent gallery district. Located at the corner of Wood Street and Hubbard Street, this double bow-truss, skylit space is truly like no other, offering an over 10,000 sq ft luminous arena that will feature an expanded approach to contemporary exhibition experiences.
Our reinvigorated programming will present a series of simultaneous exhibitions — the first premiering solo artist’s recent discoveries within their studio practice and the second, a curated salon survey of works by like minded creators which elaborate and expand the dialogue around related topics. With additional programming to include performances, panel discussions, lectures, critical and curatorial invitationals, international gallery pop ups and other events, we intend to ring in CSG’s 30th Year by offering our revitalized mission as a gift to engage our art community locally and at large.
We hope to launch this new ship in early 2023. Watch for sneak previews from our architects, artists and several new partners.

During build out and development of new programming, CSG will be temporarily relocating to a nearby space in West Town – 1637 W. Chicago Ave. This interim where we find ourselves literally “between spaces”, we’ve entitled as “CSG BTWXT”. Over the next few months before our permanent home is ready, we will be featuring recent developments by both gallery artists and new artist alliances, along with exciting teasers of all that is to come.
CSG BTWXT will open this October with an exact date to be announced soon.
