AKR Fundraiser

Please join us on July 8 from 5 to 7:30 PM for an evening of music, performance, cocktails and talk featuring some of Amy’s collaborators and fellow artists while supporting the AKR Yellow Umbrella Foundation.

Please note that this is a ticketed event with limited space available.

Special guests include:

John Green is the #1 New York Times bestselling author of Looking for Alaska, An Abundance of Katherines, Paper Towns, and The Fault in Our Stars. Green’s books have been published in more than 55 languages and over 24 million copies are in print.

Claire Zulkey is a Chicago-based writer and novelist. She began and hosts Funny Ha-Ha, a literary humor reading series at The Hideout.

Steve Delahoyde is a Chicago-based filmmaker. He has produced, directed, edited and animated (sometimes all at once) hundreds of commercials, corporate videos, trade show promotions, and short films.

Justin Kaufmann hosts “The Download,” weeknights 7-11pm on WGN Radio 720 in Chicago. He’s also a member of Schadenfreude, Chicago’s comedy group.

Mark Bazer is a Chicago-based writer whose column is syndicated by Tribune Media Services. He hosts The Interview Show, a monthly night at The Hideout.

The AKR Yellow Umbrella Foundation is a 501(c)(3)non-profit organization providing funding for ovarian cancer research as well as child literacy, causes important to Amy Krouse Rosenthal and created in memory of her.
